Questions, issues, or help with an order?
FAQ
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. All work is done by appointment only. Orders can be dropped off locally in Houston, TX or shipped in — both using the instructions provided after booking.
How long does a repair usually take?
Turnaround depends on the current queue. The most up-to-date estimate can always be found near the bottom of the Mods & Repairs page.
Is there a diagnosis fee?
Yes — $20 per console. This covers testing and identifying the issue. If you approve the repair, that fee is then applied toward the total cost.
What happens if my console can’t be repaired?
If it’s deemed unfixable or not worth the cost, the $20 diagnosis fee covers the work already done. Customers are responsible for return shipping if mailed in.
Do I need to provide parts?
No. All parts are sourced in-house to avoid mistakes and ensure quality. If you already have a specific part you want installed, please mention it when booking so we can confirm compatibility.
What types of upgrades are available?
Upgrades vary by console. Popular options include HDMI output mods for retro systems, shell replacements, stick replacements for controllers, USB-C charging upgrades, and capacitor refreshes for longevity.
How do I track my order?
Every order is added to the active mod/repair queue. Customers receive email updates when their console is received, diagnosed, and completed. A customer portal for live status tracking is in the works.
Do you warranty your work?
Yes. All hardware installations and repairs come with a 90-day warranty covering parts and labor for the specific issue repaired. Damage caused by drops, water, or third-party tampering is not covered. Please see our warranty page.
